Event: Chocolate Day at the Botanical Garden

Get a jump start on Valentine’s Day’s most famous food – chocolate - at the San Antonio Botanical Garden on Saturday, February 13. Chocolate Day at the Garden celebrates the history, scent and taste of chocolate. Informational displays, tours of the tropical plant areas and real cacao tree pods offer a taste of where chocolate originates. For kids, Valentine’s Day and chocolate inspired crafts and games provide exceptional entertainment. A scavenger hunt, chocolate trivia game and creation of a sugar cube Mayan pyramid are planned. Children and parents alike will enjoy making Valentine’s Day cards with such interesting items as coconut and cocoa mulch!
