Event: Basic Birding Pt 2: Anatomy, Color Patterns, Field Marks, Field Guides

Color is one of the most attractive features of birds. However, it is important to observe overall color patterns and detailed field marks when using color to identify a bird. This requires a basic knowledge of bird anatomy. The combination of effective observation and a good field guide leads to quick and accurate bird ID. Cost: CNC Members $20/person; non-members $25/person. Pre-registration required. Call 830-249-4616. Time: 8:00 am - 11:00 am Location: CNC Auditorium
