| The Powwow is a multi-tribal event with participants representing up to thirty or more American Indian nations. Dancers and craftspeople from various reservations, rural areas, and urban Indian communities will be present to add their own unique flavors. Observers can experience first-hand the artistic and cultural values that inform and reinforce American Indian tradition and ceremonial heritage. Activities include powwow dance competitions in nine categories: Fancy, Traditional, Straight, Grass, Jingle, Fancy Shawl, Southern Cloth, Buckskin, Youth and Tiny Tot. entry form |
