College Planning
Made Easy
This is a 4-hour, small group workshop designed to
help families with students in grades 8 – 12 (or the equivalent) get a
jumpstart on the college planning process and develop their own plan for
successful college admission. In this interactive, hands-on session,
students and families will: learn how to evaluate the student’s interests
and skills; explore educational options; gain insight and advice about
selecting a college, the application process and finding the right fit;
learn how to plan ahead and maneuver through the admissions process;
discuss college financial aid, the scholarship search process and
strategies for financing higher education; and plan for special needs.

The Great
Scholarship Search
This is a 2-hour, small group workshop designed to
help families with students in grades 11 – 12 (or the equivalent). In this

information that will help them develop a map for a personal scholarship
search; learn the finer points of outside scholarships; chart where
outside scholarships are likely to be found in their local area; discuss
popular resources for outside funding; and learn how to search uncharted
territory for new resources.

SAT Preparation
This course prepares
you for the Verbal and Math Reasoning sections of the SAT tests.
Each class is two sessions; Two hours on a weekday i.e. Mon.,
Tues., Wed., Thurs from 6:00pm-8:00pm and six hours on a Saturday,
from 9:00am-3:00pm. Materials are included in the cost of the
tuition. $55

The Vocabulary Experience

Algebra Refresher I
Designed for the student who cannot
remember algebra (or who has not had algebra) and needs a review
to pursue a college education, for standardized testing, or for
use in a career. This no-pressure course will include the basic
numbering system, arithmetic operations and introduction to
algebraic laws and principles for solving equations.

This is a continuation of the Algebra
Refresher I where you may continue to learn by picking up where
the first part ended. Begin by reviewing units 3 & 4, and continue
with functions, graphs, systems of equations, inequalities, roots
and proportions and finally factoring and quadratic equations.

Preparing Successful College
Admissions Applications
This is a 2-hour, small
group workshop designed to help families with students in grades
11 – 12 (or the equivalent). The goal for this course is to
provide participants with the information needed to develop a
solid-gold admissions application and personal essay. In this
course participants will learn how: to identify key components of
the application process, to mine their abilities and achievements,
to sift through their experiences and pinpoint “golden nuggets,"
and refine their personal essay.
