CONTEST RULES - PLEASE FOLLOW THE RULES SO YOUR POEM WILL NOT BE DISQUALIFIED.
1.Only San Antonio area poets are eligible(60 mile radius of San Antonio).
2.Poem words and imagery must be in good taste for family audience(no
profanity,obscenity,or vulgarity).
3.Enter only one poem not to exceed 28 lines.Do not type long lines to meet 28
line limit).
4.Send entry form with two(2) copies of your poem.
Your NAME in UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER OF ONE COPY AND ONE WITHOUT YOUR NAME.TYPE
YOUR CATEGORY IN UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER OF BOTH COPIES.
Poem must be your original work.Poets retain their individual copyrights.
6.Students must submit school name AND grade on entry form.
7.Poems must be written in English,however,poems containing words or brief
phrases in Spanish,French,or German will be accepted.
8.Type poem flush left or center.This is how it will be printed in the
anthology.
NOTE:BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST YOU AGREE TO PUBLICATION IN THE ANTHOLOGY AND ON
OUR WEB SITE IF SELECTED.
9.WINNERS ARE EXPECTED TO READ AT THE EVENT AND ACCEPT THEIR AWARDS OR HAVE
SOMEONE REPRESENT THEM.
NOTE:Poems will be judged by qualified judges,and cash awards and trophies
will be given in each category.Award winners and a few other selected poets
will read their poems at the
Fair.Winners,readers and others whose poems are judged suitable for
publication will be published in the annual anthology VOICES ALONG THE
RIVER.Winners names and poems will be published on the web site.
