I will be teaching dance in my home studio for kids 8-12 beginning in February.
WHAT: Modern Dance for Children
WHEN: Feb 5th-April 25th, Tues & Thurs, 11am-12pm
WHERE: Neighborhood Dance Studio, my private, in home, dance studio (complete dance studio with sprung floor, ballet barres and mirrors)
COST: $10 per class. $25 Registration fee Students can take one or two classes per week, must sign up for the entire Spring session.
Modern Dance for Children
Modern dance uses gravity and the weight of the body to facilitate movement. Children naturally know how to fall and leap, run and skip. In the class Modern Dance for Children, these innate skills are directed and used to teach children the foundations and fundamentals of modern dance.
Through this class, children will improve their coordination, flexibility and stamina. Children will also strengthen their problem solving skills, learn how to work with others and will have many opportunities to exercise and grow their imagination.
