| My name is Mike Hansen, I have been a math teacher in S.A. for 20 years during which time I have also coached MATHCOUNTS teams. I am wondering if there might be a few homeschooled kids who would be interested in competative mathematics. The only requirement is that they be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade (whatever that means as a homeschooler). I suppose that would be ages 11 to 14. In other cities in Texas the home schoolers are big winners at the state level in this competition.
